FieldTurf installed new synthetic turf pitches at the Mauritania Football Center as part of a FIFA Development Project. The national players of Mauritania now enjoy perfect training conditions.FieldTurf’s Prestige XM6 50-13 SBR has been chosen by FIFA for their Development Project at the Mauritania Football Center, headquarters of the local Football Federation. At the Cheikha Boidiya training pitches, all the young and senior national categories of the country will prepare for the international competition. The two identical fields cover a total surface of 13.545 m².
Fundamental in FIFA’s choice for a FieldTurf pitch was the solidity and resilience of the XM6 fiber, which has been designed to provide an excellent long-term durability. Also vital in their decision was the ratio price/quality of the overall budget of this installation. In the warm Mauritanian climate, the best fitting material was the infill system with Cryogenic SBR. Recently the Mauritania Football Center received a visit by FIFA President Mr. Gianni Infantino, who came to see both fields. “This is an important project that we fully support because it allows international competitions to be organized here in Mauritania. The future belongs to the Mauritanian football,” Mr. Infantino told Pointschauds.info.
The Cheikha Boidiya training pitches will join current users of the XM6 system like FC Nantes in France, the Bonifika Stadium in Slovenia and the Amadou Barry Stadium in Senegal. (Stadiaworld, 30.05.2017)
