The start of 2017 marked the completion of the generation change in the Management Board of Albert Speer + Partner GmbH. The company is now ideally positioned with regard to the future development.Gerhard Brand, who worked for AS+P for over 35 years and was from 1992 onwards one of the Managing Partners and was in charge of the company’s Architecture division, retired from the company as planned at the end of last year. The company thanks him for all his efforts.His successor Axel Bienhaus was appointed to the Management Board of the company effective January 1, 2016 and is now solely responsible for the civil engineering sector. Mr. Joachim Schares is a new appointment to the AS+P Management Board. Born in 1966, Joachim Schares, was a member of the management of and a partner in the company from 2008 onwards. He graduated from the University of Kaiserslautern with a degree in Urban and Environmental Planning in 1994, and that same year started working for AS+P. To date Joachim Schares has primarily been responsible for major urban development projects in the MENA region. At the end of the year Prof. Albert Speer relinquished his management activities, but will continue to be a source of inspiration and ideas for the company. As such, in the form of Friedbert Greif, Axel Bienhaus, and Joachim Schares there continue to be three managing directors running AS+P Albert Speer + Partner GmbH.
In place of the newly appointed member of the Management Board Joachim Schares, effective January 1, 2017 Stefan Kornmann has been a member of the management team. He has been a partner at AS+P since 1988 and focuses on master planning, spatial and urban development, and regional and airport planning.
These changes ensure that AS+P will fulfill its aspiration to “Think ahead”, and be ideally positioned with regard to the future development of the company. (Stadiaworld, 01.02.2017)
