On June 3rd Real Madrid defended the Champions League title for the first time. The event locations in Cardiff were equipped with temporary structures by Orgatent, the Swiss subsidiary of the RÖDER Group.
The Orgatent assembly team has been in action for the Champions League finals for many years. With 40 big-, party- and wine-tents as well as SOLUTION event halls, some of them in two-storey design, were assembled in the Welsh capital in the middle of April. The client, UEFA Events SA, was once again very satisfied with the performance. “Our comprehensive product portfolio always offers the right solutions for all event requirements”, says Armin Burri, project manager and deputy managing director of Orgatent AG. The total area of the impressive tent areas at the three event venues was more than 20,800 m². The tents were used as hospitality lounge solutions in Bute Park and as a football village at Cardiff Castle.
At the centre was the Principality Stadium, where the VIP and bistro locations and a large press centre were established. In mid-June, the dismantling was completed. The sustainability of the tent systems is a great advantage: “All the events with our temporary structures do not leave any buildings behind, we leave the locations without any waste or damage and our modular tent systems can be reused at the next event location”, says Armin Burri.
