GOLD CUP goes for latest camera seat model

ORBITER.TV will be in the United States from July 7 to 23 and participate in the 2013 CONCACAF GOLD CUP with its latest model: the Orbiter 500 superflat 3.0. On this occasion the expert in camera seat technology provide the Broadcast Service Group in Orlando with two brand new seats.

Two additional camera seats are provided by Time Warner Sports + Manios Digital & Film/ L.A. The seats will be placed at the middle line between the two benches of the trainers – on the position of the super-slow-motion camera. The Broadcast Service Group is the responsible producer of all the GOLD CUP games, where twelve national teams from North America, Central America, and the Caribbean will compete for the title.

The camera seat Orbiter 500 superflat 3.0 is based on the proven principles of the existing Orbiter series. Its central building block has been re-designed and is now offering improved comfort features to the user. More than a year of development with extensive tests has gone into this seat. Its shelf-life was tested by putting the camera seat into a device constructed for long-term stress tests. The test simulated 20-years of usage under extreme temperature conditions. According to Orbiter.TV the longevity of the seat’s precision bearing, which is exclusively produced in Berlin, next to the accomplished running smoothness, was the top priority of this new development. The running smoothness of the new rotator lives up to that of fluidic heads. The high precision and the smooth run of the bearings in this seat model will extremely facilitate the work of camera men.

The Orbiter 3.0 will also be launched this summer, at the FIFA Confederations Cup. The Cup organizers will get six of these seat models. 15 seats have already been ordered for the 2014 FIFA Soccer World Championship in Brazil. All seats will be provided on a leasing basis because the Soccer Association exclusively uses the most recent and brand new equipment at each tournament. At the end of these tournaments the equipment is sold off at a significantly reduced wholesale price to interested clients (Stadiaworld, 17.05.2013)
